Hello all
New to the forum and here's my question. I do like 10 year old Glenmorangie, I find it very mellow but fancy a change. I've tried Talisker and found that to be very harsh. Any suggestions for someone who enjoys his whisky.
Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Glenmorangie is quite a light dram for a Highland whisky so perhaps you would enjoy the Lowland malts - Auchentoshan, Bladnoch and Glenkinchie. The Glenkinchie 12 is light, grassy with a kick of lemon about it, a good place to start exploring. It's part of Diageo's Classic Malts series so fairly easy to find and it's around the same price as Glenmo. Just a suggestion. _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

You may like Glenmorangie Lasanta which has many different notes than the 10 yr. Original.
Glenfiddich 15 years Solera Vat is also a nice dram. Both do not have the nose or taste profiles of the Isalnds and if you found Talisker "harsh", these other two may be right up your alley.

I think you would enjoy any of these:
Glenfiddich 15
Glenlivet 12
Glenlivet 18
an Cnoc 12
Auchentoshan 12
Glengoyne 10
Balvenie 12 Signature |

Agree with all the above suggestions, would also add to the list
Aberfeldy 12
Balvenie 12 Doublewood
Macallan 10 Fine Oak
Glenfiddich 12 (the 15 is superior, but the 12 is cheaper and a great example of a light malt)
Cragganmore 12
Dalwhinnie 15
For something richer the Macallan 10 Sherry Oak would be a great example. |

Agreed, if you keep an eye out in the supermarkets you'll be able to find a decent selection at around £20 - certainly the 12 year-olds by Glenlivet and Glenfiddich, also Aberlour, Jura and Old Pulteney. |
