Hazelwood collection

Hi, I'm fortunate to have all three of Janet Sheed Roberts' birthday bottles (100, 105 & 110 years old) which i believe are considered to be a blend of rare whiskies.

I'm now considering selling these & am looking for some advice. Would I be best to sell all three together as a set, or sell individually? I'd rather not sell & do so reluctantly but I'm not really a collector.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I live in Canada but when I researched the 3 bottles you mention, the total value in terms of current selling price in Birmingham is 1785 pounds or $2850. Canadian. I would guess that selling them as a set would probably yield the best profit since someone who could afford such expensive drams would probably want the whole "shabang". How did you end up with such a fine set?

They may possibly fetch more as a set but selling them as a set may reduce the number of interested bidders in an auction.

If you do a search through previous auctions at www.mctears.co.uk you will get an idea of the prices these bottles have been selling for both individually and as a set.

I have seen these bottles do well on ebay sometimes but it can be a bit hit or miss.

They would certainly be easier to sell individually. Individual bottles sell for around £300 at auction. Mctears did have a set in Febs auction but they failed to sell, IMO the estimate was too high.
