Big soccer match on at the moment. Very exciting. Here in Canada I am rooting for England and trying to figure what drams to have over half time ( only 18 minutes played so far). What are you dramming for this event? I may go for Glenfiddich 15 Solera and Talisker 10. How about you?

They say the finish is salted licorice. Did you find that with this Islay dram? _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Going by this and others which i have tasted from Kilchoman so far I would describe Kilchoman as starting to emerge half way between Cail Ila ( a bit oily) and Lagavulin (peaty) |

There is a hint of salted licorice but i would agree with Blackadders description of dry smoky bacon also some pepper and fruit in there. Kilchoman is starting to develop into a decent whisky the future certainly looks good from what i have tasted. |

Obviously this finished last night but I was drinking some lager (German I'm afraid!) and Hector's Nectar, a cheap blend, perhaps the most apposite dram for watching England?
Of course Scotland weren't even there, a can of Special Brew required when they're on the pitch and your other hand can be used to watch through your fingers! _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."
