| I just spotted an offer on this through quidco (check it out on their website if you're interested) How does it compare to the cask strength 16 year-old Nadurra? Is it as good in your opinion? |

| The Glenlivet Nadurra 1991 Truimph was matured 2 years longer than the standard Nadurra 16 year old and it was bottled at 48%. I thought it was milder, fruitier and sweeter than the standard bottling. Definitely worth a try if you are getiing a good deal on it. |

| i tried the Triumph alongside the standard Nadurra, it is very good but i prefered the extra strength of the standard bottle |

Thanks for the tip off, I went for it. I calculated it at £33.46 including standard delivery and cashback, which may take some months to appear. However all in all it's a cracking deal! _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

That's a really good price. It's about $20.00 dollars more here in Canada than your quoted price. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

This just arrived today. I went to uncork it and the top of the cork came away leaving most of it in the bottle. The cork seems slightly damp inside. Is this anything to worry about? Should I just continue to uncork it or send it back? Is this a sign it's been stored on it's side? _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

That's a real shame and a tough call. Does it taste fine to you? Often when stored on its side, a bottle will infuse with a cork taste depending upon how long it has rested that way. If its possible to return , I probably would unless you expect to drink it over the next few months. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Do you mean the cork broke in two pieces? If so I would definitely return it or ask for a replacement - luckily The Whisky Exchange are good with that kind of thing so I wouldn't expect it to be a problem. There was an issue with a Talisker gift pack I bought recently but they were pretty swift at dealing with the problem. |

Yes, the plastic grip on the top of the cork and about half an inch of cork came away in my hand, it would appear there is some white residue on the inside of the bottle, see pic:

| yes it sounds like it has spent some time on its side, i would return it for a replacement if you can. As Alex says TWE are usually good at sorting out any problems |

I've submitted a message on their Web site. A shame, as I was looking forward to opening it! If they only give me a credit I'll struggle to find a better deal too, hope they can replace it (and the replacement is OK). _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

TWE have responded saying they store all bottles upright, if there's no signs of leakage all should be well and to open the bottle with a corkscrew, they offered to send a replacement cork!
Compared with pics online the level in the bottle looks OK and there weren't any signs of leakage. Fair enough advice? _________________ "Whisky is liquid sunshine."

I found The Whisky Exchange to be a wee bit sticky in dealing with a problem i recently had , you really need to be firm with them and if your not happy send it back.
Personaly i would open it and try it looks as if it should be fine. _________________ Putting the func in dysfunctional. |

I think you should be entitled to have it replaced or your money refunded if that is what you want. If you do decide to open it beware of the remaining piece of cork breaking up into the whisky when you try to remove it, you may end up having to filter the whisky.
They still have the Nadurra Triumph available on there site so it ahouldnt be a problem to replace it, that is what i would want |
