The company said it would build a new distillery in Speyside or the Highlands and would draw up plans for a second if Scotch continues its global growth.

The worry is they build another modern efficient super sized distillery and in 10 years or so there is a slump in demand they wouldnt shut the new distillery but some of the older smaller distilleries

Whether there is a slump in the future or not i would guess the more of these large super efficient modern distilleries that are built the more chance the small less efficient and less proftable distilleries have of closing
