I thought i would give this one a mention for those who dont want to splash out £350 on the Macallan Diamond Jubilee bottle.
The Royal Brackla Diamond Jubilee bottling from the Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask range, 12 years old and a limited edition of only 250 bottles. I had the pleasure of trying it on Saturday at the Robbies Drams event in Ayr and it is very good, almonds, a lovely bit of fruit and plenty of spice and a deliciously long finish. Her Majesty would be proud of what DL have bottled to mark the Diamond Jubilee
So if you are looking to try a Royal Brackla at a very decent price (£49) for a whisky which is pretty rare to come by especially at this price or if you are looking for a jubilee bottling to tuck away in the collection then i can recommend this. There is still some available from Robbies Drams and they are running a fathers day special offer at the moment which gives you 10% off all orders which basically just about covers delivery costs.

| Royal Brackla is a distillery i havent tried and i a msure the guys at Douglas Laing have picked a good one to bottle as the Jubilee bottling. Unfortunately Robbies Drams dont deliver here or i would have had one at that price. |

| The Royal Brackla at 12 years old is probably not much younger than the Macallan Jubilee bottling |
