Help Needed on a Malt Whisky.

Hi I am new on here and this is my very first post.
I have been given 2 bottles of Whisky but i know very little about them.
I have googled them and found nothing.
So here i am.
They are 2 bottles the same it says they are a single malt scotch whisky "from one single cask" its a 14 year old and a "clynelish" personally selected then douglas of drumlanrig.
Thats all i know. i have some pic so will try to add them here.
Any information on the 2 bottles would be great. My dad told me there is only 500 bottles but not sure if he's right.

They are 14 year old single malt whiskies that are from the Clynelish distillery but have been bottled independently by Douglas of Drumlanig

Single cask literally it means the whisky from one single cask; hence only around 500 bottles. Whereas distillers own label will often be bottled in batches of many casks.

If you're looking to sell then i'm not a great valuer personally but i'd say just based on most independent bottlings of that distillery and age you'd be looking at £40 - £60 especially if its cask strength.

If you're looking to drink then enjoy, Clynelish is yummy.

Very interesting, I really like Clynelish. I've only tried single-cask releases but I found they usually represented a lighter, sweeter Highland style similar to Longmorn. This site has some good info about the distillery:

The hammer price was only £30 in 2006

My guesstimate would be it would not sell for a great deal more than that, perhaps around £50 - £60, just my opinion it may sell for more.
