Here's my take on this dram.
Neat:
Nose-Smoke, vanilla bean, clover honey, marmelade, orange zest, candy floss, prunes, figs, carmelized sweet vidalia onions.
Palate-Smoke, spice, warm, creamy, cinnamon stick, creme brulee.
Finish-Smoke, spice, hint of pepper and nutty.
With Water:
Nose-Smoke, vanilla bean ice cream, fried bananas, plum pudding, sponge toffee, salt water taffy, hint of beef gravy, hues of rum cake and black forest cake.
Palate: Sherry, sweet burst evolving to cinnamon stick, hint of ginger, pungent.
Finish: Creamy smooth, nutty, cinnamon and spice, warm and lingering.
How's that sound?? Any comments?

| I haven't tried the Macallan 12 yet - I believe it's an expression mostly aimed for your side of the pond. Sounds great, like a step up in complexity from the 10, which is already excellent of course. |

Sounds great Quaich1 but i am biased as Macallan is amongst my favorite distilleries.
Your right Alex the Macallan 12 is produced for for this side of the water which is a pity as i have had both the 10 and 12 and IMO the 10 is a great dram the 12 is a step up. |

I recently scored a bottle of Macallan 14 years, one of only 300 bottles available worldwide by The Cooper's Choice. It's unopened. I got a chance to have a few ounces from an opened bottle and it is GREAT! Have you heard about it? _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
