I would love to hear about folks' visits to any of the distilleries of single malts in Scotland, from the different areas and your impressions, thoughts and what you liked most about your visit. Living in Canada, I have not had the opportunity to visit Scotland yet but it is certainly on my "to do" list. I can't wait to hear from you on this one.

I have visited a few distilleries over the years and have enjoyed all the visits but the ones which i particularly enjoyed are the Balvenie and Aberlour which have excellent tours plus all the distilleries on Islay although it has been a few years since i have been to Islay.

If you ever get the opportunity to visit Scotland then i would recommend visiting a distillery which produces a whisky you particularly like as it adds to the enjoyment of your visit. I will 2nd what Gregor said, Balvenie and Aberlour are fantastic tours and they both produce great whisky.

That's great advice for me. I particularly like Lagavulin so it would be a must visit on my wish list.
