The most you would pay for an ounce of single malt scotch

Single malt scotch is now available in many posh and other pubs and restaurants. What's the most money you would spend for a taste ( 1 ounce) of super single malt in one of these places? I would probably go up to 100. dollars for an unforgettable dram (1 ounce) that I really wanted to try.

For me it would depend on the occasion and location. I wouldnt pay much if i thought there was a chance the bottle had sat opened on a shelf for years.

If it was something really special that i wouldnt get the chance to taste elsewhere i would probably go up to £50 for a dram
