Hello,
I have purchased a 5 litre barrel in oak to have an experiment at home.
I am going to take a cask strength Islay vatted malt (big peat) and try to make it better.
Think I will leave some sherry in barrel for a few months first.
Then I will keep sampling until I think it is just right and bottle half and maybe drink the rest from the tap and see if I can taste any improvement.
Any suggestions?
D
