I am on the organising committee of a (non-profit-making) academic conferenc/exhibition to be held in Edinburgh next September. It will attract 400 or so international visitors & 30 exhibitors.
We will be telling exhibitors that they can "sponsor" a malt. This will entail stocking up on a malt that we will specify & they will offer a tasting to all visitors to their stands during the opening evening. I can hear sighs of "leave it until the closing evening".
We need a good-quality photograph that will be used in exhibition literature to promote the malt tasting - a group shot of bottles is the obvious contender. Have any forum members any suggestions for sources of such a shot? If any forum members have such a shot, and it's not specific to a single distillery, then this would be appreciated & we could reference the forum or an individual. |

Hi Pal,
Independent bottlers like Duncan Taylor, Douglas Laing, etc have often great pictures on their web-sites promoting their goods to the public. I wonder if you could contact them asking if you could use the pictures for your exhibition with a "courtesy of" line at the bottom. Slainte Rene _________________ Ardbeg 4 ever |

Followed your suggestions & contacted Duncan Taylor. They not only had a good shot of bottles but the three were labelled Highland, Islay & Speyside which avoided me having to pick a brand which would have surely lead to accusations of bias. I only hope the event doen't lead to headlines in the morning papers |
