Hi all has any one else signed up for this limited edition bottle?
Got this email the other week

"Dear john

I am delighted that so many of you have registered your interest with us for the first ever Diurach exclusive bottling. I've been into the warehouse to check on our Grand Cru Class? cask and I'm pleased to say its coming along nicely! To get the best results from the cask I want to give it just a few more weeks. I'll be in touch at the end of this month to let you know how you can finally get your hands on this exclusive dram."

The first email from Jura

"You may recall we selected a special cask during the Jura Music Festival in September. I've been in to our warehouse and checked and you will be pleased to hear the whisky is maturing well - there should be around 295 bottles - available for the princely sum of £75 a bottle. Since there are only so many, we're only offering this very special bottling exclusively to Diurachs. Drop me a line at exclusive@isleofjura.com and I'll be in touch with you in the New Year when it's ready. And remember, it's first come, first served. So I'll get back to the first 295 Diurachs who email me!"

I thought about it but decided against it. I was too uncertain as to what the quality would be as i wasnt sure what age the whisky would be and Jura certainly improves with age and i was worried that it maybe a bit young and not much better than the current standard bottles such as the 10 year old. At £75 and not sure if there is postage to add i thought i would give it a miss as it is too uncertain both as a drinker and as an collector/investment.

I would think will be between 13-17 year old and if the Boutique Barrel bottlings are anything to go by, will be excellent. I have a bottle reserved.

I may end up regreting it if i hear it is an excellent whisky but i opted not to go for this one, the price put me off.

Got e-mail yesterday and placed an order. It is a 17-year old, single cask, 295 bottles. Hopefully will get the palate going !
