Hi I am new to the forum, i have possibly forsale seven rare whiskys still boxed, i live in the southwest of England and was wondering where and when if any? there would be any type of auction down here in the south west. Top Malt

ebay can sometimes be the easiest most convenient and sometimes most profitable auction to sell your whisky, even the more expensive bottles. If you are willing to dispatch the whisky overseas then this can attract more bidders.

I dont know of any specialist whisky auctions in the southwest of England but there are a few in Scotland such as Bonhams in Edinburgh, you would hav to contact them and post them the bottle/s to be auctioned.

There is also a new online whisky auction www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com there charges are half what other auctions take and it is run by one of the guys who organises the Glasgow Whisky Festival.

Hi all thanks for the tips and advice on possible selling points, here is my list:
1x 29yr Glenury Royal, 1x 19yr St Magdalene, 1 x 21yr Caol ila, 1 x 21 Brora, 1x 23yr Glen ord, 1 x 20yr North port, 1 x 23yr Royal Lochnagar.

If can find out more info from the bottle i will pass it on.

You should have no problem selling these at auction i think.

There is also McTears auctioneers in Glasgow. You can look through McTears previous auctions to get an idea of the prices these bottles are fetching at auction. Just do a search on the McTears website
