I thought i would give these new bottles a mention although they wont be available everywhere but may be worth watching out for on your travels considering the quality of the standard Ballantines 17 year old.

Ballantine's is set to unveil two Signature Distillery Editions of Ballantine's 17 Year Old - part of a new four-strong collection of innovative whiskies that highlight the influence of the signature malts that provide the depth to Ballantine's 17 Year Old.

Each limited edition aims to showcase the unique contribution of one of four distilleries - Scapa, Glenburgie, Miltonduff and Glentauchers - by accentuating their characteristics within the limited edition blend.

The first 2 to of these limited releases will be the Ballantine's 17 Year Old Signature Distillery Scapa Edition and the Ballantine's 17 Year Old Signature Distillery Glenburgie Edition.

Unfortunately the Ballantine's 17 Year Old Signature Distillery editions will only be available in selected market places. Ballantine's 17 Year Old Signature Distillery Scapa Edition will be available in limited quantities in Korea while Ballantine's 17 Year Old Signature Distillery Glenburgie Edition will be available in limited quantities in duty free.

I havent heard when and where the Miltonduff and Glentauchers editions will be available but when i do i will let you know.

I suppose Chivas Bros are sending them to where the big market for Ballantines is but it would be nice to try these as i do rate the standard Ballantines bottle highly. I wonder if we will see the Ballantines 17 Signature Distillery Glenburgie edition in airports this side of the world
