Rumours are there is a new ardbeg committee release coming.
It is for the ardbeg day on June 2nd and will be a bottle to commemorate this.
With each arbeg embassy only receiving 30 bottles.
But the ardbeg day will also fall on the distillery's open day for the Feis ile, so maybe a distillery exclusive for this?
Has any one else herd anything about these?

Like others i did wonder if the Ardbeg Day bottling will be in addition to the annual Ardbeg Committee release or if it is the Ardbeg Committee release for this year,

Surely they will have to make the new bottling available online to Committee members who live no where near an Ardbeg embassy. If not it is a slap in the face to many faithful committee members who have purchased all the previous committee bottlings without fail.

This set up may backfire on Ardbeg. It was frustrating enough trying to order Ardbeg Committee bottlings online and the Ardbeg website crashing as it couldnt handle the traffic but can you imagine travelling to an Ardbeg Embassy to get a Committee bottling to find out they have sold out all 30 bottles they were allocated. If this is going to be the set up it isnt a good one.

If my maths is correct, with only 2 embassies in Scotland that means there will be only 60 bottles to go around all of Scotland unless you visit the distillery. That surely cant be right, perhaps they will launch it in the embassies first then release it to committee members online later.

The perks of Family and friends on Islay!
Not sure what they will do but contacted RMW'S and they said that they will be holding an event but either cant or wont confirm anything!
Either way the distillery will have some kind of bottle for the Feis |
