Gordon & MacPhail have released a rare Glen Grant 60 year old whisky in honour and celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.

Matured in a First Fill Sherry Hogsheads cask and bottled at cask strength of 43.2% ABV, just 85 decanters of Glen Grant 60 Year Old are available it has a recommended retail price in the UK of £8,000 per bottle which is considerable cheaper than the £100,000 Diamond Jubilee by John Walker & Sons.

I could probably go as high as 100 for either. So that would get me 1/80th of that bottle, or 1/1000th of the John Walker & Sons. Think I could actually taste what I'd bought?

If i had to choose and not considering money i would take the G & M Glen Grant before the John Walker Diamond Jubilee but i dont have to choose as i dont have that kind of cash to spend on whisky, unfortunately Crying or Very sad

I wonder if there will be any special releases that mere mortals like myself can afford

£8000 is actually a bargain when you think of some!
