I've a number of different malts purchased years ago that I won't be drinking myself. I wonder if you can help on valuation. I understand I can only ask for one valuation at a time under the rules so I'm providing details of only one bottle.
SMWS 5.3
Auchentoshan
Auchentoshan, Dunbartonshire. The whisky is triple distilled, most are still only twice, in three different stills. It is a Lowland malt but draws water from a Highlandsource. This is a dark, old-fashioned, after-dinner whisky; a whisky for port drinkers. It shows a lot of sherry at the start, though Old Tawny rather than fine oloroso. Take it with Dundee cake and not too much water.

I'd be grateful fo any advice. |

| I think the rules are to stop commercial posts so it should be no problem to do a post for each whisky you are looking for advice on. |
