Hi, I am going to new Zealand for my cousins wedding and I wanted to bring him a bottle of Scottish whiskey over with me as a present. My price range is £60max, my experince of whiskey dosnt really go past Grouse so any suggestions would be great.

Thanks Richard

Hi Richard

Great idea, i know Scotch single malt whisky isnt cheap in Australia, i would guess New Zealand is similar prices.

I would suggest the Highland Park 18 year old, a superb whisky that any whisky drinker would appreciate. It is £57.49 at The Whisky Exchange at the moment which is a good price for this and there postage is only £5

I will second Cranes Highland Park 18 suggestion, a top quality whisky.

I agree for a gift for someone who you dont know there whisky preferences the Highland Park 18 is a great choice. I think you would pay around £100 for this in New Zealand.

First of all, you won't fine any scottish whiskey, whisky no e !

have you considered an independent bottling? Cadenheads or Old Malt Cask perhaps, they are unique single malts from less known/ less available distilleries and almost certainly unavailable/ hard to get in NZ/AUS. for £60 you could get a lovely bottle in the 15 - 20 year age category.

If you want a distillery branded bottle then I agree with others - HP 18 is world class. Glenfiddich 18 also fantastic and a little bit cheaper

A GLendrinnach 18 YO would give you a fantastic malt, a distillery that probably does not have significant export distribution in NZ and nearly a tenners change. Perfect.

HP 18 would be amazing though!
