Over the past 10 years Bruichladdich has seen a few unusual events - WMD, the CIA, Ugly Betty, Flying Health & Safety Inspectors, Yellow Submarines and Perilous Whisky to name a few. 10 years on the distillery has been brought back from oblivion.

The Laddie 10

This is without doubt the most important release in Bruichladdich's history, and very much a landmark for the distillery and the Bruichladdich team. This spirit, malted from only Scottish barley for authenticity, slow-fermented for purity, trickle-distilled for creamy texture and cask-filled at 70% for extra flavour, has been quietly slumbering in Bruichladdich's loch-side warehouses for the last 10 years. The Laddie Ten, the true beginning of a new era.

Great to see Bruichladdich doing well, and very well done to the team. I will certainly give the Laddie 10 a try. Also tempted by the Bruichladdich Ancien Regime & Renaissance, i am sure they will become quite collectable.

I wonder how long it will be until we see some of the 1000 bottles of The Laddie 10, sporting a commemorative "I was there!" on the back label appear on ebay.

I will be getting a bottle myself when they appear in shops.

I just ordered one of each, is the laddie 10 first off the line 1000 of pick up only or do I have a chance of getting one ordering online ?

It's my understanding that the first 1000 bottles will have a special label, 750 of which are the ones with 'I was there' and available only from the distillery and 250 available online only and labelled 'I was there but online'. Apparantly if you order the 10 that's online now and you happen to be inthe first 250 orders of the new 10 you get the special labels. So first come first served type of thing.

I have ordered and spoke to the distillery to confirm this is the deal so all being well at 4pm when I ordered they still have the labelled stock left.

It looks like in went on sale via the Laddie website today but it was available at the distillery at the weekend.

Just received an email from bruichladdich , i will receive the laddie 10 with the special label "first off the line-I was there" so that's me happy now Very Happy

Placed an order today for the Laddie 10 fibngers crossed i get a first off the line bottle.
