Hi

I am interested in reading about the history and making of whisky. Also about the distilleries where the whisky is made. Can anyone recommend a decent whisky book i could buy.

There are many good whisky books available now.

For whisky tasting notes I would highly recommend:
Jim Murrays Whisky Bible 2007

For Distillery info, history and more I would highly recommend these whisky books:
The Scottish Whisky Distilleries: For the Whisky Enthusiast by: Misako Udo
and
Encyclopedia of Whisky by: Michael Jackson

Although i must say i have never thought much of Michael Jacksons tasting notes.
