Hi

I am sure you all get asked this a lot, I am looking to buy a whisky gift for my fathers 60th birthday and was hoping you could give me a few suggestions.

I know he drinks Glenfiddich, i know that is probably a pretty boring whisky to you whisky connoisseurs but i was hoping to surprise him with something he would really enjoy and i would really appreciate any suggestions you can make.

Cheers

Robert

Hi Robert

For a Glenfiddich drinker i would recommend trying something from one of these distilleries:

    Glengoyne
    Glenmorangie
    Oban
    Old Pulteney
    Balblair

If i was to narrow it down to just one bottle Balblair has an excellent new range they are the Balblair 1997, Balblair 1989 and my favourite out of these the excellent Balblair 1979.

Thanks McKay for the suggestions

I had a look at the Balblair 1979 at The Whisky Exchange shop, i think i will go for that.

I would agree i was impressed with Balblairs new range which i was lucky enough to try recently at a whisky tasting. In fact i went out and bought a bottle of Balblair 1989 since the tasting.
