back around 1995 i bottle a brought of 18 yr Glenmorangie whisky in a presention box /tube to be more precise 1Lt Dutyfree 43%
stupid question ,is it still 18yrs old or with the 15/16 yrs it's been sitting unopened in the presention box make it now 33/34 yrs old & what would it be worth?

I also have a lovely bottle of black & white 70%proof unopened with a hinged cap covered in foil there is no date on the lables & the two lillte dogs on the back lable there is no size but it's about the size of a 75cl bottle can you tell how old it is & how much its worth & where is the best place to sell . it belonged to my late in laws or gran & its been sitting in my cupboard along with some other old sprits for about 20yrs
cheers hope you can help Ann

Hi ann

Your bottle of Glenmorangie 18 is still 18 years old as whisky does not age in the bottle, as far as value my guesstimate would be around £80 - £100

Your bottle of Black & White may be worth as much £200, have a look in The Whisky Exchange shop to see if they have any bottles similar

The prices i mention are just my opinion and would be the prices you would pay for these bottles in a shop you may only get half these amounts in a private sale.

You have a few options for selling:
Specialiist auctioneers such as Mctears or Bonhams they both have websites.
Sell on ebay
Sell to a whisky shop sych as The Whisky Exchange
