Iana,

I saw your ebay post and was going to buy it but sadly I was away when it finished.

Why your fees were so high is because your starting price was massive, so your insertion fee would be quite big and then final value fee also.

The best was to do this would be to have an item like that starting at 99p but put a reserve on it also. Your fees would be less but you would be unlikely to have got the price you did as the buyer had no one to big against.

Thanks for your response R, i never knew how to setup the ebay auction correctly and was scared incase i was obliged to sell it for pennies, i sold 5 bottles in total and got £1870 for them all, im glad i got to drink 1 and also keep 1 for my small collection.

i apologise for advertising 2 bottles of whisky for sale in the one post i never read the rules of the forum im not sure if i should delete my post and start 2 new posts or leave them as it is. apologies if i have offended anyone with my breach of the rules

Your post is fine, the rules are to stop commercial postings from people/traders who make money from selling whisky.
