Hi there, newbie to the forums here. found the place by chance and decided to ask about a bottle of Macallan-glenlivit i have in my possession.
Im wondering if anyone can give me any info at all about this bottle as there is no dates etc on it

Hi there, go to mctears past auctions page 10 of 12 lot 486 Past Whisky auctions 5 th aug 2009 there were two bottles in the lot estimate £90 , sorry it's not worth thousands but you will get some info on the bottle 102 proof, cheers Alan. Wink

Davie as your bottle size is 26 2/3 fl oz it was probably bottled before 1980 when they changed the bottle size to 750ml. I would think this will add value to it for Macallan collectors. Sometimes Macallan can surprise you at auction just depends on the bidders on the day. If it was my bottle i would choose ebay to sell it and be willing to post it anywhere.

Great stuff guys thats more info than i had for sure, Its not going to be for sale it was just curiousity. I got it from a small collection after my grandfather died so means to much to me to sell. Thanks very much
