| I have access to a bottle of 1959 cellar collection bottle number 7/400. Bottled in 2001. 42.19% in strength. 70cl. Any idea's where the best place to sell it would be? |

James you could contact Bonhams auction in Edinburgh or McTears auctioneers in Glasgow, they both specialise in whisky and hold a few whisky auctions a year.
They are usually quite helpful, they both have a website which you can contact them through. No need to visit them.
Here is the link to Bonhams:
http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=EUR&screen=Whisky
Whoever you contact you should send them detailed info and images and they should be able to advise you on a value for your whisky
Another option is ebay which can sometimes be the quickest and most profitable option. You could also try contacting some specialist whisky shops such as The Whisky Exchange, they may make you an offer for the bottle. |
