| Anyone know of any reasonably priced whisky pubs in London? The more whiskies I try the harder it becomes to come across a pub that stocks something I've never had before... Most of them have the Classic Malts, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich and Laphroaig, so do you know of any with a broader range? Would like to try some malts before I buy for a change! |

A bar i have tried while visiting London is the Athenaeum hotel whisky bar Piccadilly. Offers over 270 whiskies, not the cheapest but a good selection. You can view their whisky menu here:

£17.50 for Ardbeg Uigedail, but i guess that is the prices you would have to pay in central London |

Guess I wont be drinking whisky in London then.
I saw the talisker and I can get a bottle for the price of a double! About the same with the glenfiddich.
So 2 doubles or two bottles? wow, Id take a bottle and the hotel room.
Im not tight......just frugal. |

| Alex i would recomend looking out for whisky tasting events, they usually are good value for money. Whisky Live London is a great event and The Whisky Exchange and other whisky shops in London organise tastings every once and a while. Also there is The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show later this year. |

| See, that's why I specified 'pubs' - hotel bars are all well and good, but I don't think I'd be willing to pay up to half the price of a whole bottle just for a measure! And Innes that's a good suggestion, thanks. |

Alex i havent been to this one but someone was telling me about it. The new Boisdale's in Canary Wharf has live jazz and a huge selection of 1000 whiskies. There website claims it is the worlds largest whisky collection. Looks like they intend to do whisky tastings.
It looks quite upmarket but thought i would mention it anyway. They ahve a website
www.boisdale-cw.co.uk/the-venue/view/the-whisky-bar
Prices dont seem too bad considering location and they are serving 50ml measures but i wouldnt make it my local
This is the whisky menu.

| Hi, The Bree Louise, 69 Cobourg Street (50yds from Euston Station) is a pub which has over 50 malts at very reasonable prices. Is a regular pub but the owner is a whisky aficionado so carries a wide range. Also 16 real ales and 12 real ciders changing every day. Worth a visit! |
