hi alan here ! ijust bought a bottle of lagavulin 15 yr old dist edition its a limited edition no 4of498 but it has a torn lid , i asked for a replacement as i was going to put it into my collection , what i was wondering is it better to have a low no 4 of 498 with a torn lid or is it better to have a higher no with a good box . any ideas 
the box is numbered same as bottle.

| I dont know if the bottle number would make that much difference if the packaging is going to reduce its value. Personally i would go for a replacement or ask for a discount as you have been sold a soiled/damaged box which should have been new. |
