I was just posting about a couple of offers in the Asda whisky bargains thread and it got me thinking. What i also noticed while shopping in Asda is the average prices of bottles not on offer are rising quickly, for example Glenfiddich 15 and Balvenie 12 Signature are just under £35 in Asda, i am sure this is about £5 or £6 more than they were asking for these same whiskies 6 months ago. I have also noticed recently that there a number of 10 - 12 year old whiskies which i would have considered every day drams are now breaking right through the £30 barrier, not good.
Is is just me that thinks that prices are shooting up. |
