| Can anyone please tell me what year the contents of a bottle was changed from FLozs to Volum. cheers Dave |

Up until January 1st 1980 the UK used "proof" strength of spirits to show the strength of alcohol. They changed it to what we use today Percentage of Alcohol by Volume %ABV.
Also in the UK up until 1980 standard size bottles were measured in flozs, they then changed to ml in 1980. Therefore a 26 2/3 flozs bottle size changed to 750ml in 1980.
The standard UK & EU bottle size then changed to 700ml but i cant remember the date it changed. |
