The North British distillery does not bottle its own whisky. Almost their entire production of North British whisky is sold to other whisky producers for blending. I believe your bottle is a very rare distillery bottling that was only given to employees in 2010 which would have been the distilleries 125th anniversary year.
I am aware of a North British 45 year old bottling from independent bottler Signatory which sells in whisky specialist shops for around £130. From the info you have given it appears your bottle is a original distillery bottling so therefore will be worth more i would have thought.
You could try contacting Mctears or Bonhams who specialise in whisky auctions and should be able to give you its current market value. They both have websites. |

Single grain whisky doesnt fetch anywhere near as much as single malt whisky but this is quite a unique bottling by the sounds of it so it may fetch a bit more than the average grain bottling.
My guesstimate would be in around £500 just my opinion so i may be way out. If you are looking to sell then i would say contact one of the specialist auctions which Bookie mentioned, they should be able to give you an estimate if you contact them with a view to selling. You could even try contacting The Whisky Exchange who also buy whrare whisky. |

North British Distillery Co Ltd keep a record of all individual bottles which are produced.
On the day that this bottle was given to it's intended recipient (October 2010) it was then removed from the owners possession without their consent and was never recovered.
North British Distillery would be pleased to recover this bottle and would ask the current holder to please contact the company on this matter. _________________ The North British Distillery Co. Ltd |

hey ive not been online for a couple of days, but blimey i didnt realise that it was missing and quite important, my other half was given it as a birthday present from a friend not so long ago, my mate had said that he had got it from lost property that had been there unclaimed for 3 months and so was aloud to keep it, but as a say he gave it to my other half as a present but of course i would be more than willing to contact the distillary and give it back to rightful owner i will do that as soon as possible
thanks for letting me know |

If it was in lost property and not claimed....hardlines.
Im sure if I had a bottle like that I wouldnt lose it......unless I had a couple and had drank one (hic)
Of course some would say ethically, you should return it to the poor soul who lost it, and didnt know where theyd lost it. The distiller may want you to give them it.
If its all fair, Id tell the distiller to CHANGE THEIR RECORDS to the NEW RIGHTFUL OWNER! |
