I have been considering getting a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label and wondered what others thought of it. Is the Johnny Walker Blue Label really that good, is it worth its price tag. What other premium Scotch blended whiskies are worth looking at?

The Johnny Walker Blue Label is very good but my personal choice from the Johnny Walker range would be the Gold Label.
There are few other decent premium blends out there worth looking at if you havent already such as Chivas Regal 18. |

I often read comments saying that Johnny Walker Gold Label is a better whisky than the Blue Label but IMO they are simply different and both are very good indeed. Obviously you can get the 18 year old Gold Label much cheaper but as i said both are very good so it all really depends on your budget and what you think is good value for money.
Another premium blend i would recommend is the Cutty Sark 25 year old. |

Harvey have you had a look at the Johnnie Walker Collection available at The Whisky Exchange. It is a set of four 20cl bottles of Johnnie Walker Black, Green, Gold and Blue labels. Priced at £71, it is great value i think.

Johnnie Walker Green Label is excellent value for money as is the Gold. The Blue Label is excellent but i am always wary of spending that amount on a whisky with no age statement, is it worth it - depends on how much money you have to spare.
The Chivas 18 is ok for the money but the Chivas Regal 25 year old is superb, probably about the same price as the JW Blue Label in most places. The Cutty Sark 25 mentioned above is also excellent IMO. |

| My pick from the Johnnie Walker range would be the Green and the Blue Label. Kieth that is a great set of JWs for the money. |

Cheers for all your replys, i have looked into the Johnnie Walker Collection you mentioned Kieth and they have at World of Whiskies shops at the airports for only £52 so i have asked a friend who travels a lot for work to pick me up a set. Now looking forward to a Johnnie Walker head to head tasting. |

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is very good, the price is bad but it is still one of the best premium blends available.
Some do say the JW Gold is better, i disagree it is different not better. |

| The Blue Label is excellent but so are a lot of single malts for this money, depends what you are after. I agree Mac the Gold label is simply a different whisky and also excellent. |

| I bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label when i was in Houston and have only sipped at it a few times, most of my friends are horrified when the bottle comes out because they can not handle this stuff, i don't mind it but my favorite is still the Black Label. |
