i wouldnt buy just one bottle but maybe a few!
Try and go for limited releases or single casks as an investment!
If you can pick up a Bowmore 1981 28yo £250 / £270 RRP then this would be good!
Also Kilchoman and Arran single casks seem to be doing really well at the moment.
Mctears Auctioneers are having Whisky sale - Island Odyssey at the start of march you might be able to pick up a few nice bargins here! |

Anybody who knows anything about whisky will tell you that you can't go wrong with a Macallan, and the new 20 year Old Masters of Photography Albert Watson would in my opinion be a sound investement. The Whisky Exchange have just got them in and they cost 700 pounds.

Arran JAB? That's one I've never looked to really drink or buy for the collection. I've got their first Peated one, one open, one stashed. Been to the distillery a few times but it doesn't excite me. Horse for course I suppose.
That Bowmore will be pretty hard to get now, but there are quite a few hitting eBay!
A grand- you could look at getting a cask.

| I would look out for limited edition releases from any of the popular iconic brands such as Ardbeg, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich |

Hi, just buying one bottle at 1000 pounds may not give you a fantastic return.....maybe a few glenfiddich snow pheonix and others like Rosebank / port ellen / brora may be a better investment long term, this is just my opinion..... but ill say this ..its a great bonus for you ... 25 years on my farm would get me NAFF ALL.... |
