I see they sold 2 bottles of the Bowmore 1979 Bicentenary at McTears on the 25 January one went for £480 and the other for £500, bottles looked in good condition but not sure they came with the original box but would assume so for that price at an auction.

Did you pick up anything good at the auction yourself JAB, i forgot all about it. I usually like to have browse through the catalog even if i am not buying.
They only had 2 of the bowmore 1979 Bicentenary, and lot 699 with no box ssold for the £480 mark! was really suprised at this thought it might of been half this!
No Keith i didnt pick anything up! thought the sale was the worst one yet! very poor grouping of bottles and a poor selection over all!
The few i might of bought went for silly prices one being the 1979 Bicentenary no box bottle.
But there where deals to be had like 2 ardbegs selling for £90 and are worth £100 each.
But didnt know this untill today when i checked some prices as i was only logging on and off for the bottles that took my fancey!
