Hi ya all
Ive been a Whisky collector for a while now and been a keen reader of the forums on this site for a few months. Good to see that I am not the only sick Whisky freak around (those are my wifes words).
Strange thing happened to me yesterday. I own a off - licence and tobacconist and get people coming in now and again bringing in old bottles of Whisky usually old bottlings of blends and sometimes, very seldom, old single malts. Well that's were the story starts. I had a guy walk in to my store with a bottle of Macallan - Glenlivet distilled in 1936. The label on the neck says - 36 years old in sherry wood. It has what looks like a Italian tax label on the cap. I figured Italian since it refers to " import pinerolo - license U.T.I.F 310 Torino " on the bottom of the label. I have a few macallans and I have seen this type of bottling before but unfortunately all or if not most of the Whisky stores don't iether have this bottle or a price for similar ones. My question is what type of value would you put on this bottle. I have included a image. If you would like more detailed images don't hesitate to mail me. The owner of the bottle wants to sell but Ian not in the business of ripping people off. I could easily give him anything reasonable and he would more than likely accept. I would rather him sell it at the price it is worth and if I can't afford it I will gladly list it for him to sell.
Hope to hear some ideas and remarks

I can't post an image on the forum. Only option I see is through a URL. Is there a option from saved image on computer?

| If you contact Mctears or Bonhams i am sure they would give you an estimate of what it may be worth. |

| Andreas there are a few Whisky freaks around these parts so you are definitely not alone. I had a quick look in the usual places i would refer to for values but cant see any bottles exactly like yours. As Bookie says contact Mctears or Bonhams i believe they can be quite helpful |
