Ok, so I opened it early
Nose
Creamy vanilla aromas with notes of pears and fresh apple
Taste
Apples with a soft smoke, light chocolate and hone with a hint of coffee and burnt sugar. Not overly dry.
Finish
A beautifully long finish with soft sherry notes and underlying smoke.
All in all a very delicate yet intense whisky with a mind bogglingly long finish.

I was thinking that as well - have just ordered my second bottle so I can have one for drinking!
From your tasting notes Roy it does sound like an ideal marriage of young and old Glenfiddich - can't wait to try it! |

I have also been trying the Snow Phoenix recently and absolutly loved it. Definately worth getting the 2 bottles though as this one is a collectors of the future. I have written a full review at my blog - www.newwhiskyworld.blogspot.com
