New Tullamore Dew Distillery

I heard on the news that William Grant owners of Tullamore are to build a new Tullamore whiskey distillery in Tullamore County Offaly on a 50 acre site on the outskirts of the town. They are to build a new €35 million potstill and malt whisky distillery. For those that dont know Tullamore whiskey like many Irish whiskeys is currently produced at the Midleton distillery.

Thats good news, there is always room for more Irish pot still whisky and it will be interesting to see what style of single malt they plan on producing.

It has been rumoured for a while that William Grants would be building a new Tullamore distillery, good to see that they choose it original home, the town of Tullamore to build it in. It will be good to try a pot still whisky that wasnt produced at Midleton
