On TWE is a Glen Ord 25 yr old bottled in 2004 for 105 pounds.

A bit of research suggests this bottling was limited to 800 bottles (from Royal Mile Whiskies website)

Taken together with the tasting notes, I think this could be a nice buy.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

this is a genuinely good bargain for what i think is an excellent bottling of Glen Ord but you dont need to take my word for it Jim Murray also rates it very highly in the new 2011 Whisky Bible where he gives it 95 out of 100. TWEs tasting note is spot on IMO "boasts massive fruit with a hint of smoke. Tremendous depth of flavour and balance"

I thought it was a limited edition of 3600 bottles.

I agree it looks great.

The number of bottles is confusing. I've done some superficial digging so far, but will try and get to the bottom of it (which I suspect wont be a problem once I get a bottle!!).

Have you tried emailing The Whisky Exchange and asking them to confirm how many bottles, i am sure they would be happy to help. I was under the impression it was 3600, i think Royal Mile Whiskies has a typo error on their site but as i said I am sure TWE will confirm how many bottles.
