Scottish parliament today rejected plans for a minimum pricing on alcohol.
The Scotch Whisky Association had consistently argued that minimum pricing would be illegal and ineffective in addressing misuse, whilst significantly damaging one of Scotland's key industries.
I think this was the right decision, i dont think minimum pricing would have had much of an effect on alcohol misuse. Abetter solution needs to be found i think.
