Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with the value of this bottle.

Information - First Cask 1979, Speyside Malt Whisky.
An unblended cask of 24 year old malt whiskey.
Cask no. 5349, Bottle no. 201.
46%vol, 70cl.

Thanks.

Does it say anything else on the bottle such as which distillery the whisky originated from as this is the main thing that will determine the value.

Laithewaites Wine currently have a First Cask Speyside Auchroisk 1979 29 year old for £50

Thanks.

It says on the bottle: Originally distilled at the Strathisla distillery.

Hope that helps.

Any older aged Strathisla bottlings i have came across have usually been pretty good quality whisky but i havent had the pleasure of this one. First Cask was/is a Whisky club run by Laithwaites Wine, it offered limited release and usually quite aged expressions from various distilleries.

I have had a look in my whisky books but cant find a mention of your bottle so i wouldnt like to guess a value and misguide you, if you are looking to sell you could try contacting The Whisky Exchange who also buy whisky.
