|
|
Hi, I have 2 bottles of Inver House, Green Plaid Rare Scotch Whiskey, proof 70 and 3 bottles of Mackinlay's Old Scotch Whiskey also 70 proof.
I know that they are at least 30 years old maybe older.
Are these bottles considered rare or not, if so would they be worth anything?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Will, Inver House Green Plaid is a blended Scotch whisky which was first launched in the USA in 1956. Its most popular in South America and Southern Europe. It used to be available as a standard no age blend and a 12, 21, 25, and 35 year old but i think today there is only the no age blend and a 12 and 21 year old blend.
The Green Plaid and Mackinlay's would both be considered collectable, they wont be worth a fortune, my guess would be around £50 - £100 but thats just my guesstimate
If you are looking to sell i suggest trying The Whisky Exchange shop who buys as well as sells rare and collectable whisky. |

Sorry i wasnt too clear, my guesstimate is for each bottle so £250 - £500 for all 5 bottles, this is just my opinion they may be worth a lot more or a lot less.
You could also try contacting Mctears or Bonhams auctioneers who specialise in whisky sales and offer free valuations with a view to selling and i already mentioned The Whisky Exchange who will offer you a fair price i would think. |
