I have a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, abv 43%. The reason I ask for a valuation is that the bottle number (I understand Johnnie Walker produce 1 million bottles of Blue label a year) is 888888. 8 is considered a lucky number in China so I wonder if this will affect the valuation of the bottle.
Can anyone value this bottle for me?
(sorry the pics are a bit massive) |

| I suppose there is a slight possibility this would fetch a bit more money because of the bottle number. To most it will be just another bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label which would probably sell for a little less than a new bottle bought from a whisky shop. But as you say the No 8 is considered lucky by some, the problem is finding a Johnie Walker drinker willing to pay more for it. I would say your best option would be ebay, you may get lucky and get a couple of collectors trying to outbid each other. |

| thanks for your responses. I think I'll be putting it up on ebay in a week or so once I can check on postage costs etc. I'll post a link here for anyone interested. |
