Hi i have been given a bottle of Haig blended scotch whiskey gold label 1966 from john Haig and co ltd distillers markinch scotland can anyone tell me if there is any value in this bottle,
The bottle does not have the date on the label is this normal? but does have batch numbers on base of bottle thank you |

| Just spotted your post. The bottle is certainly worth a few pounds but not a huge amount, they often come up at auction and are bought more by whisky drinkers who want a taste of the past rather than whisky collectors, so they go for bottles like this as they are not that expensive. You could try contacting Mctears in Glasgow or Bonhams in Edinburgh if you are looking to sell. If you send them all the details including images they may be able to give you an estimate on its value, my guess is £50 - £100 but i may be wrong, best contacting one of the auction houses i mentioned they will be able to help you. |
