I was given these bottles of whiskey as a present last year. They were actually in a collection of 3 along with a 1991 one but that one got drunk.
I'm not really a whisky drinker and thought I would sell them.
Could anyone tell me how much roughly I should expect for them? Do people look on ebay for these things?
Many thanks,
James |

The shop price for them would be around £350 - £400 for the Glenrothes 1978 and around £80 for the 1985. In a private sale you may only get half this amount just depends on the buyer on the day. Whisky does sell pretty well on ebay as i said just depends on the buyers/bidders on the days of the auction. My guesstimate is you may get bids around £200 for the 1978 then you have the fees to pay out of that but sometimes you can get a couple of bidders who are willing to pay close to the shop price.
Also The Whisky Exchange also buys whisky they may be worth contacting. |
