hi there i have the macallan blended 1981 royal marriage whisky for sale. need to sell it to rase funds for our wedding. was wondering if anyone on here can advise me of the best place to sell it for the best price.

Hi steffysmum
There are 2 main auctioneers in the UK that specialise in selling rare and collectable whisky.
The first one is Bonhams auctioneers in Edinburgh

Bonhams offers free and confidential valuations with a view to selling.
The second auctioneer is Mctears in Glasgow. See Mctears website for contact details www.mctears.co.uk
Another option would be to contact The Whisky Exchange who not only sells rare and collectable whisky they also buy it.
Don't forget ebay which sometimes can fetch the most money. If you do decide to use ebay feel free to mention your auction in the "Whiskies For Sale"? section of the whisky forum or indeed list your whisky in this section but we do advise conducting sales through ebay to protect the buyer and seller.
Whoever you decide to contact you will get a better response if you send them detailed info and images of your bottle.
