Isle of Arran Distillers has launched a limited edition scotch in collaboration with conservation charity, the National Trust for Scotland.

The Arran Sleeping Warrior, which has been limited to 6,000 bottles, will be released to global markets from the end of June.

The single malt was drawn from ex-sherry, bourbon and red wine casks dating from the year 2000.

According to the distillery, the result is a rich and robust malt with aromas of liquorice, leather and boiled sweets. It has a taste of dark cherries and stewed fruits with an enduring, spicy and complex finish,"? said the distillery.

I like the sound of this whisky. Do you know where and at what price I could get it on the net? Whisky exchange has not got it listed yet...

Also, would you say it is a collectable or a drinking whisky?

It has not been sent out by the distributer yet but you should be able to get it from -

Royal Mile Whiskies
Loch Fyne Whiskies
The Whisky Exchange
Tam's Dram's
Robbies Drams

And other's i am sure at around £58

I have tried this and it is a very good drinking whisky but it would also have a collectable side also!

I was just looking at it on the Arran website
www.arranwhisky.com/Arran-Single-Malts/The-Arran-Malt-Sleeping-Warrior/

I was considering a bottle and also wondering whether the likes of TWE will get some in, that way i could do a multiple order and save on the postage
