Diageo has announced four additions to their extensive range of single malt whiskies - but only for visitors to their Scottish distilleries.
Lagavulin, Oban, Glenkinchie and Blair Athol will shortly be selling a single malt Scotch whisky bottling to their distillery visitors that isn't available anywhere else in the world.
For more info and a tasting note on the 4 new whiskies see here:

They do sound good and i am sure to many distillery visitors they will be a great reminder of their visit but WHY no age statement on any of them, this puts me off what could be excellent whiskies. If they want to charge the big money then at least give us the details of what we are buying.

These have undergone a second (or "double') maturation in American Oak cask wood that has previously held a fortified wine - in this case, sherry treated American oak casks. |
Alastair, this seems to imply that they will be a few years older than the Distiller's Editions bottlings but i would guess maybe they added some young malt to the mix therefore they would have to state a young age if they were to mention it. |
