The Benriach sounded like it was a bit of a let down, I would have been disappointed as it is a favorite of mine. Didn't they offer anything special to taste on the tour? I would have assumed that it would have been one of the better tours.

The tour was ok, it just was not spectacular, we tasted the distillery exclusive but nothing above.. After doing a few other tours I guess I had been spoiled by choice.. If it had been the only tour of the week I might have thought different.. The tour lasted about an hour, the tasting around 30 mins, compared to balvenie where I spent 3 hours.. If it a favourite you should still try it.. You might feel different 👠

Thanks for your detailed reviews, sorren. I just read them again after coming back from my visits to Glengoyne and Deanston, and can't wait to venture further north next time! Sounds like Aberfeldy, Balvenie and Tomatin are must-visits.
