So today tried a Jura 14 rye cask , 40% which is slightly disappointing but on first taste is actually ok, plenty fruity and spicy with vanillla ,, finish hangs around for a bit ,not a massive fan of Jura but hey it's ok for me, any thoughts from others ?

Ralfy I tasted this one for the first time last year when they launched it and added my thoughts on it here https://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/jura14yearoldamericanryecask.htm

I have got through a couple of bottles now, worth watching out for it on offer in Tesco and Amazon

Thanks for the heads up on the Jura 14 Rye Cask. I'm just getting into this distillery and it's great to hear thoughts and opinions from seasoned drinkers. I've heard a lot of good things about Jura, so I'll definitely have to give this one a try. Cheers!

Had a bottle last year, £30 with Tesco clubcard. Enjoyed it but can't see it approaching that price point again. Currently £42 at Tesco and £43 Amazon.

Cheers Ralfy, that's decent. Never really bother checking their website.

Have to try this. Didn't mind Jura.... I made a visit pre covid and bought a 21yo. Read the disappointing reviews after. Then the change did them no favours in flavours...in my opinion.

Actually, I've had some very good Jura whiskies. The one that took the cake was
Isle of Jura Distillery 200th Anniversary Commemorative Bottling Limited Edition 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky which if you could find it now would be around 500 £ equivalent. I had it at a tasting here in Canada some years back.
