Ardbeg Cask No.3 distilled in 1975 sells to a private collector in Asia for an eye watering price of £16 Million. Laid down to age in 1975 in two separate casks – a bourbon and an Oloroso sherry. Those casks were patiently matured for over 38 years. Then Ardbeg’s acclaimed Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, decided to marry the two casks in 2014 into a single refill Oloroso butt.

I would love to be the buyers best friend list. You do wonder what they will do with so many bottles.
